Rider of the week, Pete Lawlor!

Why do you ride? right I cycle for fitness company when I get out with you guys. Cycled as a teenager on road bike, glen my best mate and me both brought Raleigh pulsar racing bikes and would cycle to ironbridge every Sunday without fail from Great Wyrley. We carried a bottle of orange juice and some sarnies. We would eat sarnies under the bridge and ride home. I got back into cycling at 40, until my hip fell apart in 2013. I had a new hip replacement and 7 months later was riding again. I was a member of DMW Bridgetown cycles in the first year after my op. I completed 8000 miles and won the most improved rider, and the hill climb for my category. I joined SOLR as i heard great things about them, no politics and a great bunch… and you all are.

What do you dislike about cycling? I dislike snobbery over bike brands, people afford what they can and if they are cycling that’s All good. Also people riding poorly, not to road signs, lights and 3 a Brest. This gives cyclists bad feedback.
